In this drama Special, Ito Kana is working at a TV station applying sound effects for a comedy team when she gets a note from her Aunt that Kana’s Mother has passed away in her hometown of Okuhida in Gifu Prefecture. Kana is reluctant to return to Okuhida since she had some bad childhood memories from there, but feels she has no choice but to attend the funeral. At the same time, back in Okuhida, Morita Shinichi, who was a grade school classmate of Kana’s, has been hoping to escape from the Inn his parent’s run and go to America, but things aren’t going his way. It may take the unlikely intervention of local oddball Kotani Yoshio and his crazy dream of utilizing the discontinued railroad tracks in Okuhida that will solve all their problems…
